About Lumberjack Sports
Founded in 2016, Lumberjack Sports provides one of the world's longest-lasting batting gloves and other equipment for baseball and softball players in Canada and all over the world.
The Rise of Lumberjack Sports
The Lumberjack Sports story begins in 2016 when founder, Nick Shailes, sought out a means to provide an alternative to the large sports equipment companies charging top dollar for inferior, poor quality products.
Through extensive research and testing in Canada, a design for a high-performance, long lasting, and great feeling batting glove was created. Lumberjack Sports was born.
The Lumberjack Glove
Our batting gloves were conceived through Nick's Australian heritage by fusing two of the worlds most popular sports together, Baseball and Cricket, creating a high-performance hybrid glove. The palm of a cricket batting glove was matched with the aesthetics and fit of a baseball batting glove. The result: one of the most durable batting gloves in existence.
In late 2016 the gloves were tested with over 5000 swings by Nick himself. The goal was to push the gloves as far as possible before ripping or tearing. To this day he hasn’t been able to put a hole in them!
